What we do

By combining our skills and resources, members of Rotary have the ability to make a real contribution to the lives of others.

In local communities, each individual club raises thousands of pounds for community projects and local charities, often more. Rotarians also volunteer their time - organising and supervising community events, a host of projects aimed at promoting the achievements of young people, coordinating educational programmes and supporting local businesses.

Because Rotary is established in 168 countries in all regions worldwide, we are in the unique position of being able to reach and help people in need all over the planet, from running life-changing projects in developing countries to giving emergency aid to disaster-hit regions.

Also, Rotary has it's own charity - The Rotary Foundation - this funds the improvement of health, the support of education, and the never ending task of alleviating poverty throughout the world.
